Private sample · a one-off
A set of house drawings, turned into a 3D house you can turn around and look inside.
Six sheets of drawings went in. Out came a 3D model that follows them, with each place it had to guess marked below. Spin it, switch on the evening lights, or lift the floors apart to look inside.
Made by hand with AI helpers in about two hours, while Penciform is still being built. Penciform starts from a sketch or a photo; this sample started from finished drawings.
- 6 drawing sheets in
- 39'-6" x 34'-7" footprint
- 3 floors and a roof
- 17 labeled spaces
- 19 windows
Sample house · built from sheets A-101 to A-104
Click any wall or object
Drag to spin, right-drag or two fingers to slide, scroll or pinch to zoom. The walk button takes you inside, the two panels put the drawings beside the model, the pin lets you tap any wall or object to change its color or leave a comment on it, the tree turns the grass and trees on or off, and the headset opens it in VR on a headset browser such as a Meta Quest. The striped bar on the driveway is 10 ft.

What is in the model
Where the drawings were silent or disagreed
- A1Colors and finishes are not in the drawings. Shown: light gray siding and board-and-batten, white trim, charcoal shingles, black window frames, oak floors, tile in the baths, laundry and mud room.
- A2Site: a plain flat lot at grade, front taken as the street side.
- A3Left out: gutters, stone veneer, shutters and house number, because the elevations do not draw them.
- A4Floor drawings over elevations: where the two disagree by up to about 1'-1", the floor drawing dimension is used.
- A5Main roof: the drawings read about 3 3/8:12, which does not fit both the 29'-9" ridge and the eave drawn on the elevations. The model keeps the ridge and eave, about 3.8:12.
- A6Front stair and portico: 10 risers inferred, and the portico roof is a medium-confidence reading.
- A7Interiors are traced from the floor drawings to within about 6 inches and checked against them wall by wall; dashed beam lines are not walls. The stair is a U stair around an open well. No furniture is drawn, so none is shown.
- A8Evening view: one warm ceiling light per main room and a porch light. Fixture types are not in the drawings.
- A9Deck door: the notes list a gliding patio door, so the play room opens to the deck through a 6'-0" gliding door, with the deck set 2" below its sill.
Draw it. See it solid.
